The Image Warehouse
Statement of Purpose
The Image Warehouse consists of a group of artists
involved in varied fields who have united in their passion
for exploration and experimentation in their own work, as
well as in their desire to encourage and promote the
same passion within their community and within the world
of art. The goal of the Warehouse is to create a place
where boundaries are not simply crossed, but where no
boundaries exist. Music, painting, sculpture,
photography, poetry, fiction, essay, bookmaking,
printmaking and all other permutations are investigated
and combined with each other in ways that challenge
preconceived notions of what constitutes art.
The Image Warehouse is located in a century old building in Athens, TX. It houses a live music venue, an art gallery, photography and art studios, a performing arts space, offers community art education, and hosts juried art shows.
